MSt in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature
Thu’s love for Classics stems from her encounter with a translation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses at the age of six and has endured throughout her education. Thu has already published a number of articles, with several forthcoming, and contributed to a collection of essays on Dante’s Divina Commedia in The Dante Journal of Singapore. Thu provides tutoring and support to students across disciplines for whom English is a second language to enhance their academic writing skills.
At Oxford Thu aims to explore the phenomenon of mirroring and reflectivity in Ovid’s erotodidactic poetry but in the longer term would like to explore classical reception and in particular the reception of the mirror in medieval literature.
