Prior to coming to Oxford, I received an MA in the History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, with a thesis examining dance and mania in Nicolas Poussin’s Bacchanalia. As an undergraduate, I studied in Vienna, Berlin, and Frankfurt/Oder, primarily focusing on the ‘long’ 19th century in art, philosophy, and literature. Alongside my formal studies, I worked as an assistant director in various theatre productions.

Being an Ertegun Scholar allowed me to increase my exposure to interdisciplinary influences, continue my studies in the intellectually vivid atmosphere of Ertegun House and of learn from my fellow students.
